New Brunswick and a bit of Nova Scotia by Smart Car

We've owned at least one smart car since the first shipment arrived in Canada in 2005.  This summer I needed to kill some accumulated overtime at work as I am retiring in September.  Seemed like a perfect chance to give it a try.

We used my smart, which is the sport version.  In retrospect perhaps Geri's would have been better as her's has the regular springing and is definitely a plusher ride.  But as mine is merely 8 years old and her's 12 so we wimped-out reliability-wise and left the cabrio at home.  Luggage-wise it worked well enough with bags, cooler, a laptp and other odds and ends in back.  But we had a stop with laundry after 5 days so that helped.

A fine time with stops to see a second cousin I stay in touch with in Bathurst and several days with Sue and Gaby in Pembroke NS.  A quick visit with travelling friends Brenda and Richard in Wolfeville was a bonus.

The touristic highlights were the Hopewell Rocks park near Moncton on the way to NS and Grand Falls on the way back.  Plus the World's Biggest Axe.

Next time we'll find time for a stop at Potato World and for lunch with Danny, our only regrets this trip.
